A faithful reproduction by Buzz Rickson’s, this gold tiger stripe jacket is based on 1960s U.S. military garments. Originally made in Japan for its superior printing, speed, and cost, each factory created its own unique pattern—resulting in countless Tiger Stripe variations. First sewn in Japan and Okinawa, later in Thailand, the design was introduced in 1965 to blend into Vietnam’s jungles, with sleeve pockets for cigarettes or vital water purification tablets.
